Terms and Conditions – Phronesis Tutors

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of tutoring services provided by Phronesis Tutors (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a lesson, you (“the client”, “student”, or “parent/guardian”) agree to these terms.

2. Services

Phronesis Tutors provides academic tutoring and admissions preparation services, including but not limited to KS3, GCSE, A-Level, and university guidance support.

We aim to deliver high-quality, personalised teaching. However, we do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or results.

3. Booking and Payment

  • All lessons must be booked in advance through our booking system.

  • Payment is required prior to the lesson unless otherwise agreed.

  • Lessons are confirmed only once payment has been received.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

  • If a tutor cancels a lesson, a full refund or reschedule will be offered.

5. Lesson Conduct

  • Lessons will begin and end at the scheduled time.

  • If a student is late, the lesson will still end at the agreed time.

  • Students are expected to behave respectfully. We reserve the right to terminate lessons in cases of inappropriate behaviour.

6. Safeguarding and Communication

  • Tutors may communicate with students via agreed platforms (e.g. email or messaging).

  • For younger students, communication may include a parent or guardian where appropriate.

  • All tutors are DBS-checked or in the process of obtaining certification.

7. Liability

  • Phronesis Tutors is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from tutoring services.

  • We are not responsible for exam outcomes, school performance, or university admissions decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

All teaching materials provided during lessons remain the intellectual property of Phronesis Tutors and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

9. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This includes information necessary for booking, communication, and payment.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
